This year’s RIAS Summer Reception was sponsored by the Scotland regional division of IQ Glass
The Royal Incorporation of Architects in Scotland threw its annual RIAS Summer Reception this month to honour the former and future presidents of the organization, Marjorie and Ian Appleton.
Both presidents will be receiving the lifetime achievement award for the RIAS and the Scottish regional division of IQ Glass were the sole sponsor for the event.
The RIAS was founded in 1916 as the professional body for all chartered architects in Scotland. It is now the foremost institute in the country dealing with architecture and the built environment, championing architectural growth and supporting its growing membership.
The RIAS Summer Reception was designed to offer architects and members of the RIAS the opportunity to come together, honour the presidents as well as network with like-minded individuals.
Hosted in central Edinburgh, the RIAS Summer Reception’s award-winning projects included a new secondary school, a rural office building on the outskirts of Balmoral Estate and the restoration of an iconic modernist house.
IQ Glass are thrilled to have sponsored the event and worked with the RIAS on this special occasion, celebrating the best of architecture across Scotland.
The Scotland division of IQ Glass was launched in 2021 after completing many successful projects in Scotland and the surrounding areas.
A bespoke glazing package was specified from IQ for this contemporary house in Portree Skye in Scotland, including Invisio thermally broken structural glazing and slim framed sliding doors.
The dedicated regional team are on hand to ensure all projects across Scotland can benefit from our architectural glazing solutions, which can be tailored to meet any specific project requirements.
IQ Glass Scotland were featured in the RIAS quarterly magazine following the event, detailing the event sponsorship and the services of IQ Glass in Scotland.
