IQ Charity Golf Day

In aid of The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity

This June, IQ held a Charity Golf Day at Harewood Downs Golf Club to raise money for The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity. The money raised for the Charity raises money to solely support The Royal Marsden (a world-leading cancer centre).

The Royal Marsden pioneers the very latest in cancer treatments and technologies through money raised for the charity. This includes the use of precise intensity modulated radiotherapy for head and neck cancer trials, clinical research trials and the use of the da Vinci S robot that is now in use over 20 NHS Trusts across the UK. Funds raised for the charity go towards ensuring the nurses, doctors and research teams can provide the very best care and development for life-saving treatments which are used here in the UK and around the world.

The Charity Golf Day was a fantastic event and we are very grateful for all the help, and thank you to all the sponsors and players who came to join us in supporting this incredible charity.

Upon arrival, each player was handed a goody bag containing various sponsored items including golf balls, tees and various refreshments to enjoy throughout the day. We would like to thank those who sponsored the goody bags; Aquabocci, MaGins, The Web Design Shop Ltd, K.J.Carter Ltd and Sterling Grove.

Across the golf course, each hole number was marked with a specifically designed Royal Marsden flag to help the teams navigate their way around the course. Each hole on the course was sponsored, we would like to thank; Fab-Tech (UK) LTD, Hartgraph, Secco Sistemi, GGR Group, Hartoms, Watermark Ltd, Indigozest, Aquabocci, CST, Schueco UK Ltd, MaGins Ltd, Fusion Glazing Ltd, Chelsea Aluminium, Christopher Trigg Ltd, Carey Glass, Roofvent, London Architectural Glass and Stonewood Builders for their generous hole sponsorships.

The weather stayed on our side and the teams enjoyed a full morning on the golf course with refreshments served by the IQ marketing team on the golf buggy. Once all teams had completed the course, we all sat down to enjoy lunch and to announce the winners of the golf and raffle prizes.

During the day, the IQ helpers were selling raffle tickets to win golf themed prizes after the lunch. There were an abundance of prizes to be won, all kindly donated to us for the event by Barclays Bank, Hunts Transport, Stonewood Builders, ALUK, Contemporary Glazing, Glynn and Thames Graphics. Thank you all very much for your support.

Well done to all the teams for a fantastic day, especially to Watermark Kitchens 'It's All in the Hips' for winning the 4x Masters Wheel Travel Bags (sponsored by Motor Mode UK) for becoming 2nd team.

A huge well done to the Sieger Aluminium team 'Sieger Mega Drive' for winning the competition, the prize was 4x Taylor Made Player Stand Bags (sponsored by Aquabocci). Thank you to all those who sponsored prizes for various competitions throughout the day, including Aquabocci, Motor Mode UK, MaGins, Zeus Metal and Roofvent.

In total so far, we have managed to raise a brilliant £10,500+ for The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity - which is an amazing sum and would like to thank you all!
