IQ Glass supplied and installed a number of frameless internal glazed doors to this large residential project in Stanmore.

The clever detailing and finishing means that the sliding panels are completely frameless, hiding, when opened, in cavity pockets, secreted in the walls.

Notches are cut into the wall sections to enable easy access to the recessed panel. All runners and fixings are hidden in the roof space with a removable, hidden access compartment at the head to access the track if needed.

These manually sliding doors are made from low iron, single glazed toughened glass panels to give greatest clarity and light transmission through the internal spaces.

The hinged doors are fixed with patch fittings to the wall allowing the door to swing either forwards or backwards as needed and allow for the maximum amount of glass surface to these elements including before a glass display recess in the wall. The exposed hinges are ergonomically finished to create a design element to the glazed door.

Stainless Steel handles are fixed through the glazing panels for opening and closing and finished with a matt finish to match the hinge fixings.

All doors, hinged and sliding, are finished to reach 2128mm high to fill the opening cavities fully.
