Grade two listed building longlisted for the Dezeen civic project award.

Lea Bridge Library continues to collect nominations for architectural awards as the year steadily comes to an end.

Lea Bridge is one of IQ’s most prestigious projects with a wide variety of glazing featured in the Grade two listed building. Our ultra slim sliding doors with flush frame finishes and 21mm sightlines have elevated the timber focused knowledge hub. Curved and straight structural glazing completed the building and created an airtight, thermally efficient space.

Lea Bridge Library nominated for the Dezeen civic project 2023 Award

Lea Bridge has been longlisted for the Dezeen Civic Project of the year for 2023.

Dezeen said: This project is an extension to the Grade-II listed Lea Bridge Library in East London, adding a cafe and adaptable community space with an improved connection to the library’s gardens.

The aim of the Lea Bridge Library extension was to deliver a revived civic heart for the Borough of Waltham Forest.

The project addresses the changing role of a library in modern civic infrastructure, conceiving a new wing that offers a place to work, learn, socialise, and gather.
